Summer
Bike, trekking shoes or...?
In summer, Alta Badia is a magnet for those who are looking for strong emotions, stunning views and unforgettable adventures. Here, in the Dolomites, you will find everything you need for practising various mountain sports.
Alta Badia's offer for trekking enthusiasts is almost unlimited. Right from the Apart-Hotel and B&B Ai Pini in San Cassiano you can set off along numerous trails, easy enough for a family walk. Such as the Larch Trail, the Artists' Trail, the Tour of Armentarola and Malga Valparola, as well as trekking to Piz Sorega with its Bear Park, one of the family-friendly Movimënt Parks. Other itineraries require more effort but repay with long-lasting memories of amazing natural beauty and breath-taking sites. Particularly exciting are the hikes to the Fanes Plateau, to Lagazuoi Lake and to the peak of Settsass.
Many of the trails are also suitable for mountain bikes, which are easily transported uphill on board authorized mountain lifts (including the cable car of Piz Sorega). Otherwise, you can choose an e-bike, taking advantage of the leading-edge technologies and of the E-Bike Sharing network of Alta Badia. Neither road cyclists will run the risk of being bored: the routes of the Giro d'Italia and of the Maratona dles Dolomites pass right in front of the Apart-Hotel and B&B Ai Pini. Besides, there are numerous itineraries, though less well known, yet equally exciting, that can be explored on your own or with the help of expert local bike guides. And if you dream of cycling over the mountain passes along the roads closed to car traffic, you simply cannot miss the Dolomites Bike Days and the Sellaronda Bike Days.
Searching for adrenaline? Then prepare the climbing harnesses and conquer the famous cliffs of the Dolomites, such as Sass Dlacia located in close proximity to the Apart-Hotel and B&B Ai Pini in San Cassiano. Or head towards the Falzarego Pass in order to challenge the renowned via ferrata Tomaselli. And those who prefer flying to climbing, can enjoy the thrill of paragliding or hang gliding over the magnificent Dolomites.
Our MOUNTAIN GUIDE friends will take you out for breathtaking Dolomites adventures.
